» MATERIALS
Sheet Steel – All parts are made from prime grade cold rolled steel, free from imperfections and suitable for accepting the high-grade polyester powder coat finish.
Stainless Steel – The recessed handles are fabricated from .304 stainless with a no.4 finish.
Hinges – five knuckle hinge with full loop and tight pin. .074” thick and 2” high, welded to doorframe and steel riveted to door. Equipment – Hooks are zinc plated.
Number Plates – Made from polished aluminium with not less than 3/8” high numbers attached to each door by two aluminium rivets. Numbers to be silver on a black background.

» FABRICATION
General – All lockers are fabricated to be square, rigid and without warp. All metal faces are flat and free from dents or distortions. All metal edges are safe to touch. All welds are ground flush and there is no exposed assembly hardware on the front of the locker doors or frames. These lockers are built to satisfy current AIA specifications in our ISO9001 facility.
All lockers carry a 5 year limited warranty against faulty parts and components.
Door Frames - Of not less than 16 gauge steel with all cross members and joints welded to ensure trueness and rigidity.
Body – Of not less than 24 gauge steel formed for added strength. Bases and bottoms are formed on three sides at 90º and the front offset formed to be flush with the frame member. Shelves are formed on four sides at 90º with the front edge having a second bend.
Wardrobe Doors - Doors are fabricated from not less than 16 gauge steel with a single fold at top and bottom and a double at both sides. The channel formed by the double fold on the latch side conceals the locking bar.
Box Doors – Doors 16” and less are fabricated from not less than 16 gauge steel with a single fold top and bottom and double folds to each side. A combination pull and strike plate is included.
Quite Operation – All doors are fitted with rubber bumpers, which lessen noise and prevent finish damaged when slammed.
Recessed Handles – Standard on all lockers (except box type). The recessed cup can accept a padlock and has a single action finger lift catch. Will accept a built-in combination or key locks if required.
Latch Assembly – All wardrobe lockers are fitted with a finger lift latching mechanism, constructed of heavy gauge steel with a nylon-covered pull within the recessed cup. The spring activated nylon slide latches are completely contained in the door latch channel. These locate firmly on the 12 gauge latch hooks, which are welded to the doorframe. Doors, of 48” or larger, have three latches and the smaller have two. All latch mechanism can be made to accommodate built-in locks such as combination or key locks.
Finishing – All metal parts are free of burrs and sharp edges. Welds are ground flush and smooth. Parts are cleaned and prepared using a phosphatizing process before applying a polymer coat of electrostatic power paint. This ensures a hard, even coat of a highly durable and quality finish, with a long life expectancy. All none painted parts are galvanised or plated, after fabrication, to ensure full protection from corrosion.
Ventilation – All lockers have concealed vents in both the top and bottom door returns. This offers an unrestricted flow of air without the need for unsightly door louvers.
Interior Equipment – Single tier wardrobe lockers are equipped with a single hat shelf. All wardrobe lockers of 60” and over are supplied with two side coat hooks. Less than 60” they are equipped with two side hooks and a double prong center hook. Box lockers do not have hooks.
ADA Compliance Lockers – When required single tier wardrobe lockers can be fitted with an additional shelf mounted 9” off the ground with the hat shelf set at 48” in compliance with current ADA requirements. Door can be assigned for such use with approved symbol signs.

» ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Each locker is supplied with a fully detailed set of assembly instructions, along with all necessary hardware. Instructions and guidance on safe installation are included, covering such item as – levelling, grouping and recommended anchoring.
